There is a state park near us where you can bike ride, hike, launch your boat into the alligator infested waters, typical state park activities. Markham, however, has 2 dog parks, one designated for large dogs, one for small. Each fenced in area is about 3 acres and has obstacle courses for the dogs, water stations, kiddie pools and a large area for fetch and running amok. We try to include this outing as part of our weekend activities for Leonard and he absolutely loves it. He ignores all other dogs and humans and finds the first tennis ball he can track so we can play fetch until he can't fit his tongue in his mouth any longer.
So yesterday there was quite a ruckus when a non neutered 150lb mastiff tried attacking another dog, but Leonard didn't even notice. Nor did he notice the small terrier (why he wasn't in the small dog zone, I have no clue) humping a poor old lab's face. One track mind that dog; tennis balls, tennis balls, tennis balls!
I love it his tongue!
ReplyDeleteI also wish we had a park like that around here.
Leonard is beautiful as usual and I think the Florida sun is turning him even blonder.
